What exactly do you do?
We assist you throughout the entire organization process. We will begin by coming out to view your space, come up with a game plan to optimize your space, walk with you through the purging process, organize your remaining items and coordinate pick up for, or drop off of your items to be donated.
What do I need to do to prepare before an organizing session?
We ask that you spend some time thinking about the space you are interested in having organized. Think about what parts of your home will be effected by your organization and think through your storage spaces throughout the house. Don't worry about cleaning or picking up before we come. We can best help you if we see your home how it looks on a normal day.
How much will my project cost?
We will do our best to give you an estimate for your project. Each project looks different according to the space and according to the person. The reason it is difficult to give you an exact amount is due to the fact that everyone organizes differently. Some people are very quick decision makers while others need more time to think through the purging process. Our goal is to move at a pace that is comfortable for you and your budget.
Can I have you organize different spaces over time?
Our goal is to make our services work for your schedule and your budget. Whether you want to tackle the whole house as quickly as possible or whether you would like to do one room each month is totally up to you. When you receive an estimate from HYD, we give you a price for each individual room/project if possible so that you can prioritize the order of completion if you prefer to have us work over time.
How long will it take?
Every job is different and it's often hard to say exactly how long a project will take. For some projects we may give you a few things to do between visits to help speed up the process and help keep your costs down.
Do you have a confidentiality policy?
Yes. We know that it can feel intimidating to invite someone into your home and ask for help. We understand that you are trusting us with a part of your world and we take that seriously. Whether we are organizing your file cabinet or your closet, we keep all of our our clients and their information confidential.
Do I need to purchase containers and supplies?
We prefer to do the purging and the bulk of the sorting process prior to purchasing containers so that you don't have to return things at the end. We always aim to work with what you have but if supplies are needed we will help you find the best options. Some of our clients prefer to buy their own containers while others prefer for us to pick them out and purchase them. We are happy with whichever way is more convenient for you.
Do I have to be home when you are here organizing?
During the purging process it is important and necessary for you to be available and working with us. We do not give away or throw away anything without the clients consent. Once the initial purging process is over, we can sort, organize and restock without you being present.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept checks, cash, and paypal.
Do you service my area?
We service all of Knoxville within a 30 mile radius. If you live outside of this area please contact us to discuss additional travel charges.
