This week, Taryn stopped by BPM to get the scoop on their holiday collection. Jenny and her team at the Back Porch Mercantile have created an intentional & magical winter wonderland in the shop. The classic sentiment, “I’ll be home for Christmas” has never been more true. With less events and travel this year, people are focusing on creating a cozy and intentional place for family in their own homes.
A couple suggestions about creating your ideal holiday home, from Jenny…
While shopping for new seasonal decor and setting up your home for the holidays, we encourage you to be intentional. One way to do so, is by starting a specific collection. Adding thoughtful pieces over the years, is a unique way to curate a meaningful collection. Jenny shared her family’s tradition to collect small houses + villages that they use to decorate for the holidays, and down the road those items will be shared with her kiddos when they move into homes of their own.
Take the time to preserve and record traditions this year. Hand write those recipes you love, jot down memories from special gatherings, and send snail mail to loved ones.
