Our team recently had the privilege of helping one of our own team members, Jessica, during a local move. Her family hired our team to pack and unpack her family’s belongings last month!
Here’s a bit about her experience:
Q. What led you to book our services for your own move?
A. A handful of reasons, but mainly two young kids, a move at the end of the school year, and the peace of mind of knowing everything would be done well and efficiently.

Q. How did you feel knowing that our team of organizers was scheduled to pack and unpack your home?
A. It was honestly a little strange at first because I kept thinking I needed to be packing to prepare for the movers. Then I had to remind myself that I didn't need to—I could focus on other aspects of the move and be present with my kids instead.
The unpacking process brought me the greatest peace of mind. Seeing all of the totes unloaded into the new house felt overwhelming, and I couldn't imagine unpacking everything and deciding where it should all live. Our team had everything unpacked, organized, and put away in just a matter of hours.
Q. Did you have any fears or hesitations throughout the process?
A. Honestly, not one. What I felt most was gratitude. As someone who knows this work, I prepared well, but I was still amazed by the work that needed to be done and the team's speed and efficiency to get it done.
Everything in it’s place.
A place for everything.

Q. What were some of the most helpful things our team did for you throughout the process?
A. Beyond the actual packing and unpacking, I appreciated how intentional they were about asking how we use certain items before putting away. It's often difficult to decide where appliances, utensils, and everyday items should live in a new kitchen, but by talking through how frequently we use them, they created systems that truly fit the way we live.

Q. How would you compare the experience of using Tote Bros totes versus standard cardboard boxes?
A. I can't say enough great things about the Tote Bros totes. While they don't eliminate the need for cardboard boxes entirely, they drastically reduce it. I used a few boxes for items we packed before the totes arrived, but the totes themselves were incredibly sturdy, stackable, and so much easier to work with. Best of all, there are no boxes to break down afterward—they simply pick up the empty totes when you're finished. 10/10, I would absolutely use them again.

Q. What surprised you the most about working with our team?
A. My first response is honestly "nothing" because I already know how incredible our team is. I hear our clients rave about them all the time, and I've experienced it firsthand while working alongside them.

What did surprise me was just how mentally exhausting moving can be—especially when you're selling one home while buying another. I had lists within lists of things that needed to be done before, during, and after the move.
The one thing my husband and I agreed on was that we wanted our kids to feel settled as quickly as possible. Everything else could wait, but creating a sense of comfortability for them couldn't. My husband also works in a high-stress job, and I didn't want him coming home each day to stacks of boxes and unfinished projects.
The day after we moved, he left for work and came home with every tote unpacked, every piece of packing paper folded away, and both kids' rooms completely set up. What would have taken me weeks to accomplish, our team completed in just a few hours.
Help You Dwell gave us the freedom to focus on our family, and to me, that was worth every penny.
Q. Why would you encourage someone to consider our services for a move?
A. Moving is one of life's most stressful experiences, and I don't think I truly realized how much mental energy it takes until I was in the middle of it. Hiring Help You Dwell wasn't about having someone pack boxes—it was about giving my family the opportunity to settle into our new home instead of spending weeks living in chaos.
